Angela and I had an amazing day speaking with the first‑year students at the MUN Medical School. It was extra special having my oldest daughter, Reagan, by my side as we walked through the financial milestones that can shape your medical school journey.

We shared some of our own story—like the financial decisions Connie Hapgood and I made during her fellowship, including the weekly trips Reagan and I took to Hamilton. Those choices weren’t always easy, but they were meaningful, and they’re part of the real-life planning that future physicians need to think about.

Reagan also found a familiar face on the table today: a photo of her from when Air Canada made her an honorary pilot on her 100th flight… all before she turned two.

A full-circle moment for both of us.

This past year was a difficult one as I fought my cancer battle. I want to personally thank our clients and business partners for your continued trust, patience, and the many words of encouragement you shared. Your support meant so much to me and to our team—you truly carried us.

In the spirit of giving back, we’ve focused on helping our community:
✨ We donated to the Canadian Cancer Society Daffodil Place to provide 20 room nights in 2026 for patients and families who need a compassionate place to stay during treatment.
✨ We partnered with our friends at Stride Running NL for their annual Toy Run supporting Bridges to Hope Food Bank. Stride raised $1,500, and we matched it—bringing the total to $3,000—to provide 100 food hampers to local families.
