Would your tax return hold up if CRA looked at the full picture, not just one line item?
A recent CRA review we examined asked for far more than receipts: business registration details, bank statements, proof of payments, and more. It's a reminder that good records need to explain the whole story behind your numbers.
We break it down here: https://piligrim-accounting.com/cra-tax-review-consistent-financial-story/

Thank you for being with us this year.

December is not only about holidays.
Reminder: December 15 is the deadline to pay personal tax installments.
If you are required to make installments, make sure your payment is submitted on time to avoid CRA interest.
Better to take care of it now and enjoy the holidays stress-free.

Did you see the new 2026 Personal Federal Tax rates?
CRA has released the updated federal brackets for 2026, and they’re worth a closer look — especially if you're planning salary/dividend strategies, year-end bonuses, or adjusting payroll withholdings.
The lowest bracket remains at 14%, but indexation has shifted income thresholds upward.
Middle brackets (20.5% and 26%) now start later, giving a bit more room before tax rates jump.
This may slightly reduce overall tax for individuals with income near the lower thresholds — or may open planning opportunities for those whose income hovers around the bracket cut-offs.
