It’s a scam! There is no new Grocery Rebate. It was a one-time payment issued in July 2023.

A few extensions to be aware of if waiting for your slips this year

Penalty relief period until March 7:
All information returns.

Certain information returns which need to be recalculated as a result of the change to the effective date of the proposed capital gains inclusion rate increase – primarily certain T5008 and certain T5 slips.

Certain T3 information returns which need to be recalculated as a result of the change to the effective date of the proposed capital gains inclusion rate increase.

The Government of Canada is deferring the date on which the capital gains inclusion rate would increase to January 1, 2026 to provide certainty to Canadian taxpayers and businesses. To ensure most middle-class Canadians do not pay more tax once the capital gains inclusion rate is increased, the government will maintain or enhance existing capital gains exemptions while creating a new investment incentive.
