Saugeen Shores Police are investigating a report of a threat to Saugeen District Senior School.

In the late hours of January 12th 2025, Staff and concerned parents contacted police after screenshot images of a Snapchat conversation involving several youth began to circulate.

The threats were being made from a Snapchat user profile under a fake name.

A detailed investigation was subsequently initiated and police were able to identify the person responsible for the messages.

Police have been working with school officials throughout the night and are keeping them updated as the investigation continues.

There is no evidence to suggest an imminent risk at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
