Did your Canada Child Benefit (CCB) payment change this month?

Every July, the Canada Child Benefit is recalculated for the new benefit year using information from your most recent tax return.

This means some families may see an increase in their monthly payment, while others may see a decrease or no change at all.

Your payment can be affected by things like:�• Your adjusted family net income�• The number of children you have�• The ages of your children�• Changes in your family situation

It’s also a good reminder that filing your tax return on time matters. Your tax return doesn’t just determine your tax bill. It can also impact benefits and credits you receive throughout the year.

If you need me, I’ll be mourning the loss of All-Inclusive Brian until next summer. Cue the tiny violins for me in my time of need. 🎻

Two months ago, I said to Brian, “I like the beard.” And I did..

But then it continued to grow (too much). Now it has evolved into…. The Tax Beard.

At this point, it’s not going anywhere and will remain until after the personal tax deadline.

Apologies to anyone who has had to witness its full evolution.
