Did You Know?

Your corporation may qualify for a 10% refundable Ontario income tax credit on capital investments.

Under the Ontario Regional Opportunities Investment Tax Credit (OROITC), eligible Canadian-controlled private corporations that invest more than $50,000 (up to $500,000) in qualifying property located in a designated Ontario region may be eligible for a refundable credit of up to $50,000.

2025 Tax Season Opens February 23, 2026

The CRA will begin accepting 2025 personal tax returns on February 23.

🗓 April 30, 2026 – Filing & payment deadline
🗓 June 15, 2026 – Filing deadline for self-employed (payment still due April 30)

Attention Ottawa Daycares!

The City of Ottawa has introduced a new requirement for licensed daycare providers to file an annual income statement without the review engagement report requirement as in the past. This is now part of the city’s financial reporting process for childcare operators.

✅ Make sure your income statement is prepared and submitted on time to stay compliant. The city has now sent out some notices to file with a Jan 30 deadline.

The staff of Connelly & Koshy enjoyed some orange sprinkle donuts yesterday in support of National Truth and Reconciliation Day.

The donuts were purchased with 100% of the proceeds going towards Indigenous charities across Canada.
