FP Canada™ recently released the results of a new consumer survey: the 2025 Money & Milestones survey. It showcases the positive impact of professional financial planning in helping Canadians achieve the life milestones that matter most to them.

The Key Findings:

68% of Canadians feel confident they can afford milestones like retirement, travel, and homeownership.

Canadians who work with a financial professional, such as a CFP® professional or QAFP® professional, are significantly more confident in affording their life milestones—79% vs. 59% for those without professional guidance.

The majority of Canadians agree that their financial professional helps them understand how finances work (83%), simplify financial decisions (82%), feel more confident about their finances (82%) and have peace of mind (79%).
