A few things that you may qualify for on this upcoming tax season in Saskatchewan. For more details contact our office!
As tax season approaches, remember to take advantage of Saskatchewan’s competitive incentives and initiatives, which are allowing individuals and families to keep more of their hard-earned dollars each year.
In this year’s provincial budget, our government will be moving forward with the second year of our personal income tax reduction plan, which means lower taxes for everyone in Saskatchewan.

NEW CRA TAXATIONS:
As the rules and regulations continue to change in government reporting and taxation we will strive to keep you updated with emails and links on our website.
We have identified a few new areas that may apply to you.
• If you need to make a payment to Canada Revenue Agency in excess of $10,000; this payment must be made electronically a cheque is not longer accepted without penalty.
• If you file information returns such as T4’s or other slips to the government and you have more than 5 slips. You must file electronically or you will be subject to a minimum penalty of $125 per slip.
• The Underutilized Housing Tax deadline for 2022 reporting was extended to April 30,2023 and is now due the same time as the 2023 return. If you are unsure if you need to file this return you can request a ruling from the Canada Revenue Agency.
• There is a new requirement to report Bare Trust arrangement to the Canada Revenue Agency. This is new and will impact a significant number of our clients. Please read the attached PDF to understand the reporting requirements. If you would like to discuss this, please contact our office to schedule an appointment.
As always, let us know if we can assist you with any of your financial reporting needs.
