📋 Most financial conversations focus on growth. Savings rate, investment returns, hitting a number.
That's part of it. But some of the most important questions aren't about growth at all.
Are you actually on track, or just saving? Is your money in the right accounts? What happens to your investments if you're unable to manage them? Is your strategy still matched to your life?
Swipe through 4 conversations worth having now, before there's any urgency attached to them.
If it's been a while since you've looked at any of this, let's book a time to walk through it together.

Just got back from two days in Edmonton with the Inclusion Alberta executive.
I’ve been serving as Treasurer for a little over a year now, and these meetings always leave me with a lot to think about.
We talked about some difficult stuff. Funding. Government policy. Families who are struggling. And what real inclusion actually looks like when you get beyond the word itself.
I’ve learned a lot from being in these rooms.
Financial planning is my profession, but advocacy for people with intellectual disabilities and their families has become a pretty important part of my life too.
Glad to be home. Also glad I went.

🎉 Been sitting on this one for a couple days because I wanted to actually let it sink in first.
The sign's up. Optimize Wealth Management, Troy Hale, right there on the wall.
I've walked past that spot more times than I can count picturing what it would look like, and seeing it finished stopped me in my tracks for a second. A lot of late nights and planning went into getting here, and this is the kind of moment that makes it feel real in a way spreadsheets and to-do lists never do.
Grand opening is getting closer. More updates coming as we get there.
Thanks to everyone in Medicine Hat who's been cheering this on.

"Wealth consists not in having great possessions, but in having few wants." - Epictetus
A Stoic philosopher said that 2,000 years ago.
It still holds.
Most people come to me wanting to know how to get more. More savings, more investments, more income. And we work on all of that.
But the clients who end up most financially secure aren't always the ones who earned the most. They're the ones who got clear on what they actually needed - and built a plan around that number.
Knowing your number changes everything. It makes the goal real. It makes the timeline real. It turns "I hope I have enough someday" into a specific target you can actually hit.
That's what a financial plan does. It starts with what you want your life to look like, and works backward from there.
