Throughout construction in the Central Business District, we know that parking is top of mind for businesses, employees, and visitors.

Existing on‑street parking stalls will remain available until work begins on each specific downtown block.

𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
Parking will continue as usual in unaffected areas. Additional parking options will also be available for businesses and patrons, including the Olive Tree north parking lot, the Servus Credit Union atrium, the City atrium, and select downtown businesses that have opened their lots for general use.

𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
Following stakeholder and community feedback, parking plans from the original Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan have been updated.

On 50 Street, parking will increase from 29 stalls to 34 stalls, with a mix of angle and parallel parking. Accessible parking will also increase, with two accessible stalls on 50 Street and one on 51 Avenue, for a total of three.

Along 51 Avenue, overall parking numbers will remain similar, with one stall converted to accessible parking and an additional stall added near McCaw’s.

The goal is balance: safer intersections, improved sidewalks, upgraded infrastructure, accessible parking, and continued access to local businesses.
