Twenty-five years ago, Covenant began with a simple aim:
to help families experience the peace of mind that comes from thoughtful planning and wise stewardship.
Over the years, we have seen that successful transitions rarely happen quickly. They happen intentionally, through patient planning, clear communication, and a willingness to address both financial and relational dynamics.
In this article from our 25th Anniversary Vision Magazine, we reflect on the journey of serving families through the complexities of business transitions, wealth planning, and generational leadership.

We’re pleased to welcome Mario Banovic to Covenant as an Associate Planner.
Mario joined Covenant in September 2025 after completing his Bachelor of Business Administration at Trinity Western University and returning from a Spring/Summer 2024 internship through Trinity’s internship program. That experience gave him a firsthand look at Covenant’s strong team environment and how our Christian values are reflected in the care our clients receive, making his return as a full-time team member a natural next step.
As an Associate Planner, Mario supports our clients by working closely with our team of partners and advisors. He helps translate complex planning into clear, practical guidance, making it easier to understand options and move forward with confidence. Mario strengthens our planning process by preparing and analyzing retirement, cash flow, and net worth projections, supporting estate and succession planning documentation, and helping ensure plans are implemented and kept current as life changes.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, staying involved in soccer (as a player and coach), and travelling.
Most business-owning families already have specialists.
A good accountant. A lawyer. An investment advisor.
But sometimes the challenge isn’t finding experts, it’s bringing the whole picture together.
In this month’s video, Jeffery Chapman explains Why a Family, Wealth, and Business Advisor Matters: someone who can integrate the technical pieces while also accounting for the people involved, so the result is a comprehensive plan built for a long-term horizon.
If you’re navigating estate planning, business transition, or multi-generational complexity, this is for you.
When it comes to estate planning, smoother transitions don’t happen by accident; they’re built through two essentials: conversation and transparency.
In this video, Mark shares practical ways families can reduce confusion, ease tension, and protect harmony by putting important details on the table early.
Most people think investing is just picking stocks or funds, but true wealth-building starts with a plan. In this short video, Jeff explains why investment planning is the strategic foundation that turns simple investing into long-term financial success.
It’s not just about what you invest in but also about why, when, and how, aligned with your unique goals.
Watch Jeff to learn why planning always comes first.
