Tuesday Tips... #4 - Keep business and personal transactions separate

Tuesday Tips... #3 - Keep Organized Source Documents
Paper is your friend, so keep track of receipts, statements, invoices, cheque stubs and deposit slips. Sort these source documents by month, to save time reconciling your accounts. These paper copies also provide you with an audit trail for CRA, as expenses are not tax deductible without the source document.

🌟 We love hearing from our clients! 🌟
At Accountapotamus, we believe great bookkeeping is about more than just numbers - it’s about building trusted partnerships that allow our clients to focus on the important work they do.
Here’s what Anne-Marie shared about her experience working with us:
“We have been using the services of Accountapotamus for almost ten years, and rely on Paula to sort out our Legal Aid payments and cash accounts, reconcile our trust account and support us during any audits. Working with Accountapotamus allows us to share documents easily and safely, knowing our bookkeeping needs are being met, so that we can focus on serving our clients.”

Tuesday Tips... #1 - Keep a bank deposit book
This helps easily reconcile your bank accounts, maintains good financial record-keeping, and protects against bank processing errors. Plus, it provides a log to support your business tax filings with CRA.
