Tax Season is approaching. Here are some key dates to keep in mind for 2026.

As part of the back-to-school tax literacy campaign, CRA have launched short video resources on the basics of Taxes. These are great for teens or young adults who have just started working or for newcomers to Canada. Check them out here:

Attention first time home owners!

Did you know you can claim a $10,000 credit on your tax return as a first time home owner?

The only requirements are:

- You acquired a qualifying home in the year
- You did not live in another home inside or outside Canada that you (or your spouse or common-law partner) owned.

Those with the disability tax certificate can claim the credit without being first time home owners.

To qualify you will need to meet the following 4 requirements:
- Have canadian resident status
- No access to dental insurance
- Household income is less then $90,000 per year
- Tax returns have been filed
