RRSP Deadline Approaching — A Quick Reminder

The deadline to make an RRSP contribution that can be applied to your 2025 tax return is March 2, 2026.

Here are the key points to keep in mind:

• Contributions made by March 2 can help reduce your 2025 taxable income
• Contributions made after this date will apply to the 2026 tax year
• Your RRSP contribution limit is 18% of prior-year earned income, up to $32,490, plus any unused carry-forward room
• You can contribute to your own RRSP until December 31 of the year you turn 71
• The filing deadline for most 2025 tax returns is April 30, 2026
• FHSA reminder: there is no 60-day grace period — contributions must be made by December 31 to count for that year
