A lot of people feel like budgeting is about restrictions and cutting back.
But the whole point of budgeting is about taking control of your money and ensuring you are actually spending on the things you consider important while still being able to afford the lifestyle you want.
Follow along as I will be sharing more on how to create and use budgets to pay off debt and build the life that you want.

I was going through a document and I saw in the cashflow section a line for "money sent back home".
And it occurred to me that organizations in Canada recognize that sending money back home is standard for us immigrants.
That is the beautiful thing about us, Africans. Strength in Community.
It is good to support family and friends, as long as you are not disregarding you own obligations and needs.
My recommendation:
1. Have a line item in your budget for whatever you are giving and stick to it.
2. Recognize that you can't help everyone, and focus on the number of people you can really make an impact on with your giving.
3. Focus on helping people you support build sustainable means of income, so they don't rely on you indefinitely.
