~ Setting regular bedtimes and wake-up times and easing back into these prior to school starting
~ Assigning designated times for homework, meals, and family activities

❤️Prioritizing Self-Care for Parents and Kids
~ Very important for both parents and kids to take time for self-care as we all need reset time
~ Encourage activities that you and your child can enjoy together and help you recharge such as walks, family dinners or quite time

And remember that you don't have to get everything perfect! A little preparation, patience, and encouragement can go a long way toward making the transition a positive one.

Alberta Energy Rebate

Most eligible Albertans must apply online.

Seniors receiving the Alberta Seniors Benefit and those receiving AISH, ADAP, or Income Support as of July 1, 2026, are generally enrolled automatically.

The rebate is not taxable and does not affect other government benefits.

Payments are issued by e-transfer or email within approximately 14 days of applying.

Many government rebates and benefits depend on your annual tax return.

💡 FHSA Tax Tip!
Did you know? Contributions to your First Home Savings Account (FHSA) may be tax deductible—now or in a future year.

🏡 Annual contribution limit: $8,000
Lifetime deduction limit: Up to $40,000

🚫 You cannot deduct:
• RRSP transfers to an FHSA
• Contributions over the $40,000 limit
• FHSA administration fees
• Contributions made in the first 60 days of the year on the previous year's tax return

A qualifying withdrawal can be made tax-free to purchase your first home as long as all related conditions are met.
