I'm sharing this because I'd like to ask that as everyone attends their Lunar New year events this year, let's make an effort to make sure they include land acknowledgments. As Chinese Canadians, we also have a unique and often forgotten relationship that should be respected.

Ending an extremely eventful and meaningful year with a quiet trip to Jean Marie River First Nation (Tthets’éhk’edélî).
Crazy how much this community has been through in the last few years, being at the forefront of climate change with wildfires and flooding. Lucky timing to be in town during their annual open house where we Elisa and I shared in great food. I got to meet old friends who I haven't seen in years. Looks like I'm the only one who's aged! You guys looking good.

Our thoughts are with those families who are affected by the fire in KFN. Please stay safe all.

An eventful week in Calgary ended with a celebratory dinner, strolling downtown, and some rambunctious scooter riding.

Thank you for spending time with us and see you all again soon – whether it be in the North, Calgary or somewhere in-between!
