Well my friends we are 100 percent in full swing Tax mayhem but here to help! We have seen crazy taxes this year from new tax brackets, software update issue, cra update issues but I think the worst is behind us! LOL

Ok remember the April 30 deadline if you owe! Couple of neat things to check. All you should try to log in to your MyAccount:

1. Check under your Profile and authorized representative and DELETE anyone who should no longer be there!
2. Check Uncashed Cheques, we have found some have several under there!
3. Check your messages from the CRA! Some correspondences are not getting to people!

Sign in to your CRA account - Canada.ca Sign in or register for My Account, My Business Account or Represent a Client with the CRA, and get help with using the CRA sign-in services.

My savvy customers and friends now ask if I am baking anything when they come for an appointment or making something.

They ve got it honed to either pick up, drop off or appointments....well done. Pro tip....you can do this too.

Latest tax update is out so Ill be sending a flurry of taxes for you to review and sign off on. I still have to wait to send them in next week as the CRA is still doing maintenance.

ALRIGHTY! Just got the latest update from the CRA that all your tax slips should be available by February 9th!!... Stay tuned!

Highlights this year!
Starting January 1, 2026, the lowest federal income tax rate is reduced to 14%. Brackets have been adjusted upward by an indexing factor of 2.0% to account for inflation:

14%: On income up to $58,523.
20.5%: On income between $58,523 and $117,045.
26%: On income between $117,045 and $181,440.
29%: On income between $181,440 and $258,482.
33%: On income over $258,482.

Basic Personal Amount has increased to 16 452 for all under the 181 440 gross income.

Age Amount increases for seniors to 9 208

Canada Child Benefit increase to 8 157 per child under 6 and 6 883 for 6 to 17

More to come and just note starting January of 2026, Capital Gains inclusion rate changes from 1/2 to 2/3 for that exceeding 250 000...ugh. That mean you will have to declare and pay tax on 2/3 of it now...

It is that tax time again my friends..time to gather your receipts, medical expenses and time to review those RRSPs to see if you want to top them up.

A service we've been offering to more people is temp access to your MyAccount. While we don't recommend giving anyone permanent access as all of your important personal info is there, having temp access for your tax preparer saves you from having to gather all those T Slip or missing some. If you want to do this send me a message and Ill send you instructions.

Ok issue 2. Do I set up direct deposit? As some of you negatively experienced, yes you get faster payments of services and refunds BUT the CRA can also go in and take money without your permission. Eeek... There is deliberation at the Government about forcing us to set it up so stay tuned.

3. This new auto file. While good in theory, there has been multiple issues since the onset. Simply put the not all the information to prepare taxes is on MyAccount. So at the very least, call me to ask if this fits your situation.

AS ever we love to help. So text or call if you have questions. No situation is too messy for us to fix and no we don't charge you through the roof!. There are no judgements, we really do just want to help as best as possible.

We can meet in person, online as well, and can do all the returns for all the provinces. Email, phone and text at the bottom! Also, we have a drop box at the house and will be open early and late all week to meet your time!

Ok I m not bugging you about taxes yet! BUT we are changing our email as we continue to grow! So please update our contact to [email protected].

Also, we will be taking on some small business corporate taxes this year BUT are easing into it! So there are some caveats and we will only take on a few after the crazy season (Feb to April). Please inquire if you are interested.

Hey friends! Don't freak out but today is the last day to file your taxes IF YOU OWE. It is important to note we have to submit it and if there is a balance owing, it also has to be PAID today or the CRA may charge late filing fees and penalties.
We are working late but trying to get everyones in asap!
We have a number of completed files waiting for pick up and MUST BE SIGNED before we can submit them!!! So come over! LOL
