The Canada Revenue Agency has temporarily shut down its online services, after it was hit by two cyberattacks in a data breach that compromised the personal information of thousands of Canadians.

SMALL BUSINESS RELIEF FUND
The Canadian Chamber of Commerce has created the Canadian Business Resilience Network campaign to support small businesses from coast to coast. With the support of Salesforce, the campaign will be providing 62 small businesses with $10,000 grants to assist with recovery efforts during these unprecedented times. In total, $620,000 will be granted.
The grants can be used for paying salaries, acquiring safety and personal protective equipment for staff, replenishing materials or paying for the measures required to adapt business models to the economic impacts of COVID-19.

To help your business cope with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) is hosting weekly webinars.
Updates will be provided by their team of experts including their senior legislative staff and resource counsellors. Time will also be set aside for their experts to answer your questions. The sessions this week will cover key topics including:

• new government announcements
• rent payment/deferral
• and other essential themes
