On this occasion, a dinner with the principal program was arranged for students who passed the certificate level.

Building Readiness for the New Era of Financial Reporting

Hussain Farhad & Co., Chartered Accountants is pleased to announce the successful completion of its professional training programme on “Navigating IFRS 18: Practical Application, Transition Planning & Financial Reporting Excellence,” held on 18 August 2026 at our Chattogram Branch Office.

The programme was designed to provide finance and accounting professionals with practical insights into the significant changes introduced by IFRS 18 – Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements, with particular focus on the redesigned presentation of the Statement of Profit or Loss, Management-Defined Performance Measures (MPMs), aggregation and disaggregation, transition planning, practical financial statement presentation, and implementation challenges.

The programme brought together 20 finance and accounting professionals, including CFOs, Finance Controllers, Accounts & Finance Managers and Finance Executives representing listed companies, large conglomerates, private sector organisations and NGOs—creating a valuable platform for professional knowledge-sharing and practical discussion.

The tournament featured 𝟐𝟎 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 from the 𝐃𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐡𝐚𝐝 & 𝐂𝐨. Each team consisted of 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡, with participants including articled students, executives, and trainees. After an exciting final, 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐊𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐚 emerged as the 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧, while 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐬 secured the 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐮𝐩 position. Their outstanding technical skills, analytical thinking, teamwork, effective use of AI enabled tools, and presentation abilities truly set them apart.
