In May 2006, HAC took over the operations, assets and liabilities of Hamed A. Chowdhury & Co., a proprietorship concern owned by our visionary Chairman Mr. Hamed Ali Chowdhury which held the membership of the Dhaka Exchange Ltd. since 1980. Since then the capital markets of Bangladesh has grown significantly and along with this there has been phenomenal growth in HAC’s business, in terms of both volume and profitability.
