Has your bookkeeping fallen a little behind, or does your Xero file no longer make sense?
It happens more often than you might think, especially when you are busy running the actual business!
There is no judgement here—I genuinely enjoy working through messy files, finding what has gone wrong and getting everything organised again. I can assist with one-off Xero clean-ups, correcting transactions, reconciling accounts and preparing your records for your accountant.
Send me a message and let’s get it sorted 😊

As we step into a new financial year, it is a great time to pause and reflect on how your business performed in 2026.
It can be tempting to push your tax return to the side and think, “I’ll deal with that later.”
But preparing your tax return is one of the best ways to understand where your business actually stands.
It gives you clarity around:
• How your business performed
• Whether you made a profit
• What your tax obligations may be
• What you may need to budget for
And did you know — just because you prepare your tax return early, it does not always mean the tax is due straight away?
So why wait until the last minute and risk being blindsided?
Getting organised early can help you move into the new financial year with more clarity, confidence and control.

Big changes are being proposed for investors — and social media is already full of panic and fear mongering.
At this stage, these are proposed changes only. Nothing has been legislated yet.
Before making major financial decisions based on headlines, TikToks, or Facebook comments:
✔ wait for the final legislation
✔ understand how the rules may actually apply
✔ discuss your personal situation with your accountant during tax planning/advisory
A few important things people are missing:
✔ existing assets may be partially grandfathered
✔ proposed changes are not intended to start until 1 July 2027
✔ negative gearing is often misunderstood
✔ tax deductions reduce taxable income — they do not create profit
A good reminder that social media is not always tax advice.

Key Dates Reminder! A couple of important deadlines coming up:
28 April 2026 – Superannuation
Super guarantee payments are due for the March quarter.
⚠️ Important: The payment must be received by the super fund by this date — not just paid on the day. If it doesn’t clear in time, it becomes non-deductible and may require SGC lodgement.
26 May 2026 – BAS (Activity Statement)
Due date to lodge and pay March quarter BAS if lodging through a registered tax/BAS agent.
Staying on top of these helps avoid penalties and keeps everything running smoothly ✔️
If you need help or a quick review before lodging, feel free to reach out 😊
