After a day of confusing Wage theft law training it was nice to be reminded that even the people drafting the laws get it wrong - but they are not subject to the same penalties as mere mortal employers are. As at Oct 27 2023 the employees of DEWR have still not been paid the amounts that they are owed. If this was a small business employer the boss would be looking at jail time.......Awards and various wage laws are hard work so always ask for help
