Townsville businesses are hitting pause on growth plans as uncertainty surrounding the Federal Budget dents confidence, according to our latest Business Confidence Survey.

The survey found confidence has fallen across businesses of all sizes, with uncertainty around proposed tax reforms prompting many to delay investment and spending decisions.

While businesses remain resilient, the results reflect uncertainty rather than pessimism, with many adopting a cautious "wait-and-see" approach until there is greater clarity on the Government's policy direction.
