Hi, I'm Drew and I've hopefully been popping up in your feed more and more.
I'm Yakka's Partnerships Manager. I'm not the one approving your loan or structuring your deal. I'm the one making sure you found us in the first place.
Most people come to Yakka because someone in their corner pointed them in our direction. A mortgage broker who knew their client needed equipment sorted. An accountant who wanted EOFY handled cleanly. A supplier or dealer who'd rather help their customer drive away with the gear than watch the deal fall over.
My job is to build and look after those relationships. Not just the first referral, but the tenth.
If you're a mortgage broker, an accountant, a supplier or a dealer, I'm probably the person at Yakka worth knowing.

The bank didn't knock back your business. They knocked back your application.
It sounds harsh but it's true.
When I worked in banking, we'd receive submissions with almost no context. A few documents and a one-line message asking if we'd fund the deal. No structure, no case made for the client.
The assessor fills in the blanks. That's when deals fall over.
A good broker reviews your credit file before the bank does, checks what each lender will and won't look at, and puts a proper case forward. Not just a pile of documents.
Swipe to see what actually happens behind the scenes and why the broker you pick matters as much as the business you've built.

He FaceTimed me from the dealership on a Saturday morning while I was at breakfast. Already bought it. Needed it settled before EOFY. That gave us Monday and Tuesday to make it happen.
Well.. we didn't need Tuesday.
Let's look at the structure:
60 months | 40% balloon
2026 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2
Broker: James Alexander
This is deal ten. From his first truck through to a Silverado ZR2, with a lot in between. And a reminder that major banks aren't always the slow option. When the deal is written properly and the client's story is clear, they move fast and price as sharp as anyone in the market.
Applied Monday morning. Approved Monday afternoon. Settled
Monday night.

We love the āhot potatoā review. āļø
This client had been knocked back before they found us and James found the solution with Erin making sure every step of the process felt easy.
Five stars. This is what the job is for.

Six years ago we set out to build something in this industry. Not a lead pipeline but relationships.
Almost all of these came through word of mouth from inside concrete pumping. Someone who trusted us, kept coming back and introduced us to other people in their world.

You may have noticed us popping up a bit more on your feed lately. So we figured itās time to properly introduce ourselves. When you pick up the phone to us, we want you to already know who youāre talking to.
First up. Meet Tony Li
Iāve been at Yakka for the last 6.5 years and in finance for 13. I started out in accounting, moved into the banks and eventually landed on the broker side, so Iāve seen how all of it works from pretty much every angle.
I specialise in business and equipment finance, mostly the bigger and more complex stuff. Cars and utes, trucks, excavators, manufacturing equipment, business loans, trade finance, debtor finance, basically if your business needs funding to grow, chances are Iāve seen something like it before.
Most of my clients are in transport, civil construction, concreting and manufacturing. The way I work is probably a bit different to what youād expect. Iām not just looking to get finance arranged and move on. Iād rather sit down with your financials, make sure the facility is actually structured right and find the lender that makes sense for where your business is headed. One deal isnāt really what Iām here for. I want to build something that grows with you.
If youāve got something you want to talk through, give me a call.

A few years ago this client was in a rough spot. Credit issues, business struggling. Not every broker wants to work through that.
We stuck with them. Helped restructure, rebuild and position properly for recovery. And now weāre at the ninth deal with them.
Letās look at the structure:
$415,147 financed | No deposit
NAB
60 month term | 30% balloon
2025 Isuzu FYJ 320-355 + Agitator
Broker: Tony Li
Deal nine is a NAB approval. No deposit. Full funding. A banker who looked at where the business is today, not where it was.
Nine deals. Four years. Thatās what playing it long actually looks like.
