Thank you all for coming to our events this week! We hope everyone had a good time even without our regular weekly events!

On Tuesday we hosted a Valorant tournament with our friends from SparkSoc and SUAIA, where, after 5 hours of intense gameplay, the top winners received a cash prize of $200! On Thursday, we had the privilege of hosting an exclusive off-campus poker night in collaboration with Alloy, where students played poker and networked with individuals directly involved in the company.

Thank you to our friends at SparkSoc and SUAIA for the amazing Valorant tournament, and a special thank you to Alloy for giving SYNCS members such a valuable opportunity. We will be back with most of our weekly events next week, so keep an eye out for announcements on our page!

With that Week 10 officially wrapped up! 🎉

Thank you all so much for coming to our events this week. It was another busy one, and we loved seeing you all there!

On Tuesday, we teamed up with the Women in Quantitative Trading Society for Pathways to Quant, an industry panel night where our panellists shared their insights into breaking into quant. On Wednesday, Leetcoding Club tackled greedy algorithms while Code Lounge ran alongside it, before we all wound down at Social Night. On Thursday, we had our Weekly BBQ on the J12 Front Lawn, and we wrapped up the week with Code Rush, our programming competition, where coders of all levels raced against the clock to solve problems. Congratulations to all our winners!

A huge thank you to WiQT and our amazing panellists for making Pathways to Quant such a success, and special thanks to our Events teams for making these weekly functions possible. Keep your eyes out for future events announced on our page! 💙

With that, Week 9 has come to an end! 🎉

Thank you all so much for coming to our events this week and we hope everyone had an amazing first week back! It was great seeing so many familiar (and new!) faces around J12.

Here is a quick recap of what we got up to:

On Wednesday, Leetcoding Club ran as always and we tackled graph problems together, before winding down at Social Night. On Thursday, we had our Weekly BBQ on the J12 Front Lawn, and we wrapped up the week with an Introduction to Quantum Computing Tech Talk, exploring the fundamentals of qubits, quantum circuits and the real-world applications of quantum computing.

Special thanks to our Social Events and Tech Events teams for making these weekly functions possible and keep your eyes out for future events announced on our page. 💙
