🍣🍷 Good Company, Great Conversations & a Little Blast from the Past!

Dane and Vanessa had a wonderful evening catching up with familiar faces, meeting new people and enjoying some delicious sushi and w**e at the Gold Coast Corporate Rotary Sushi & W**e Night, hosted by Dan O’Connor from Bell Legal at their Bundall office.

One of the things we love most about being part of the Gold Coast business community is the opportunity to connect with such a great mix of people. From accountants and lawyers to HR professionals, insolvency specialists and fellow business owners, there’s always something to learn and plenty of great conversations to be had!

At Positive Dynamics Wealth Management, we really value these relationships. Having a strong network of trusted professionals means we can share ideas, support one another and, most importantly, help connect our clients with the right people when they need them.

And of course, it wasn’t all business! There was plenty of laughter, delicious food and one rather unexpected guest watching over the evening! 👀

Bell Legal is home to a rather impressive statue, reportedly gifted to the firm by Clive Palmer following Brisbane’s iconic World Expo ’88.

But here’s the fun part…

The statue represents a well-known character from a popular 1980s television show!

They say success is never achieved in isolation, and this week was a wonderful reminder of just how powerful it is to surround yourself with inspiring, forward-thinking people.

We had the pleasure of coming together with an incredible group of successful business owners, travelling from Toowoomba, Hamilton Island and Melbourne, alongside a few of us locals from the Gold Coast.

Different businesses, different experiences, but one shared ambition — to keep growing, challenging ourselves and creating an even brighter future for our businesses, our teams and, most importantly, our clients.

The conversations were inspiring, the ideas were flowing, and the collective knowledge and experience around the table were invaluable.

Strong roots. Thoughtful growth. A future built to last. 🌳

A big thank you to Carey Cam for visiting Positive Dynamics today and once again sharing his incredible photography skills with us.

Carey generously gave his time to update our team photos, and while he was here, we couldn’t resist turning the camera around and getting an action shot with the photographer himself!

We particularly love this photo of Carey with our founding directors, Dane & Vanessa Jansen, with the Positive Dynamics office—and one of Southport’s magnificent old fig trees—behind us.

There’s something quite fitting about that tree.

It has stood there for many years, growing from strong roots into something established, resilient and enduring. Its branches have continued to spread, its canopy has flourished, and with the right environment and nurturing, it will continue to grow for many years to come.

In many ways, wealth is much the same.

A strong financial future rarely happens overnight. It starts with solid foundations, then requires patience, good decisions, ongoing care and the right guidance along the way. Over time, those foundations can grow into something that provides security, opportunity and a legacy for the generations that follow.

As Positive Dynamics celebrates 20 years in 2026, that symbolism feels particularly meaningful to us. We’ve spent two decades helping our clients put down strong financial roots and build wealth designed to support the life they want to live—today and well into the future.

Success means more when you can use it to make a difference. 💙

What a fantastic night we had hosting the Gold Coast Corporate Rotary Winter Fundraiser BBQ in the Positive Dynamics courtyard!

With around 60 people joining us, it was a wonderful evening of business, friendship, great food and, most importantly, giving back to our local community.

Together, we were incredibly proud to raise and donate $2,000 to the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation, while also collecting a wonderful assortment of gifts for Friends with Dignity. Those gifts will go directly to mothers, fathers and children doing it tough and hopefully bring a little joy when it is needed most.

At Positive Dynamics Wealth Management, this sits very closely with what we believe.

We spend our days helping people build, protect and enjoy their wealth — but we also believe wealth should have purpose. It should give you the freedom to live well, support the people you love and, when you can, make a difference in the lives of others.

It’s a philosophy we try to live ourselves: enjoy the journey, give while you’re living and leave things a little better than you found them.

A huge congratulations to Damira Hidic, Partner at Australian Family Lawyers, who won our raffle prize — a Lady Elliot Island day trip for two! 🏝️

It’s the Gold Coast Show public holiday, and our wonderful Hayley Maree — who has been part of the Positive Dynamics family for an incredible 13 years — is making the most of her day off out on the water.

Some relationships go far beyond financial advice. ❤️

Almost two years ago, we had the privilege of meeting Tony following a life-changing workplace accident that resulted in a permanent brain injury.

Through the incredible work of his personal injury legal team, Tony received a significant settlement. From there, our role was to help him build a financial plan that would provide confidence, security, and ensure his funds could support him for the long term as his needs continue to evolve.

Today, Tony visited our office for his annual review with Mark Cullen & Vanessa Jansen, and to share his story in a video testimonial.

What continues to inspire us isn’t just the trust Tony places in our team for every major financial decision—it’s his determination. Every year, he continues to achieve milestones that many believed would never be possible. His resilience, positivity and commitment to his recovery have defied expectations, and it’s an honour to be part of his journey.
