A common theme across this week’s meetings has been looking beyond today and focusing on the bigger picture.
We’ve had some great conversations around:
- The value of long-term investing and staying focused on your goals
- Understanding how investments can grow and change over time
- The role property and other investments can play in building long-term wealth
- Making sense of recent tax changes and how they may impact different strategies
- Bringing all the pieces together to understand where you are now and where you want to go
One of the biggest things I see is that financial confidence doesn’t necessarily come from knowing everything. It comes from understanding your position, your options and the decisions in front of you.
Sometimes the best first step is simply getting educated, asking the questions and gaining the clarity to move forward with confidence.

I'll admit, sharing actual numbers around money feels a little uncomfortable.
But then I thought… isn't that part of the problem?
We don't talk about money enough.
As a mum of two young boys, financial education isn't just something I do for work. It's something I'm trying to build into everyday life at home too, in really simple, age-appropriate ways.
My 6-year-old is starting to understand where money comes from, that we have to earn it, that things cost money, and that we can choose to spend it, save it or put it somewhere it has the opportunity to grow.
More recently, we've started talking about investing.
This week we looked at one of his investments together and talked about how the money invested has grown over time.
His immediate thought?
“So how many more lollies could I buy now?” 😂
Priorities. 😆
He certainly doesn't need to understand markets, returns or compounding at six. But he can start to understand that money has value and that the choices we make with it today can make a difference later.
And perhaps if we make conversations about money normal when our kids are young, they'll feel much more comfortable having them when they're adults.
So yes, sharing numbers like these feels a little vulnerable. But considering a big part of what I do is trying to make conversations about money feel less intimidating, less taboo and more accessible, perhaps I need to get comfortable talking about it too.
Are you teaching your kids about money?
Even the simplest conversations can start their curiosity.

Retirement can feel like a whole new financial language.
Super. Account-based pensions. Centrelink. Transition to retirement. Tax. How much is enough? When should you actually start planning?
And sometimes, you're not looking for someone to tell you what to do, you just want to understand how it all works.
That's where financial education can be a great first step.
I offer one-off sessions where we can sit down, go through the concepts and help you better understand the financial world you're heading into, without committing to an ongoing advice relationship.
And if you reach the point where you need personalised financial advice, I'll tell you that too.

There's been some exciting conversations happening lately... 🏡🚗
I've recently been helping clients navigate everything from first home buyer options and Government Guarantee Schemes through to vehicle finance, while continuing to support people wanting to better understand their finances through financial education.
No two situations are ever the same, which is why I love taking the time to workshop different strategies and help clients understand the options available to them before making big financial decisions.
Whether you're: 🏡 Buying your first home 🚗 Looking at vehicle or asset finance 🔄 Refinancing 📚 Wanting to better understand your finances 💼 Self-employed and unsure where to start
I'd love to help.

How can I help?
One of the things I love most about finance is that everyone's journey looks different. For some, it's buying their very first home. For others, it's growing an investment portfolio, purchasing a new vehicle, refinancing to create a little more breathing room, or finding a lending solution when their circumstances aren't quite straightforward.
Whatever stage you're at, my goal is to make finance feel less overwhelming and help you understand what's possible.
I can help with:
👌 First Home Buyers
👌 Home Loans & Refinancing
👌 Investment Property Loans
👌 Construction Finance
👌 Vehicle & Asset Finance
👌 Commercial Lending
👌 Self-Employed Lending
👌 Debt Consolidation
👌 Renovations & Equity Release
👌 Guarantor & Low Deposit Options
If you're unsure where to start, that's okay too. Sometimes the first step isn't applying for finance, it's simply having a conversation and understanding your options.
Education. Lending. Confidence.
