At KTD Business & Tax Services we're committed to keeping you informed and compliant — and this one is important! 📋

What is a TPAR?

The Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR) is an ATO obligation for businesses that pay contractors. It helps the ATO ensure all contractor income is correctly declared. 🧾

📅 Deadline: 28 August 2026

The TPAR for the 2025–26 financial year must be lodged by 28 August 2026. Nifty Computing

Does your business need to lodge?

You may need to lodge a TPAR if your business pays contractors for any of these services:

🏗️ Building & construction services
🧹 Cleaning services
🚚 Courier or road freight services
💻 Information technology (IT) services
🔒 Security & surveillance services

Government entities may also need to report grants paid to people or organisations with an ABN.

🆕 Big change from 2026 — No more paper forms!

TPAR paper lodgements are no longer accepted after 28 August 2025. From now on, everything must be lodged electronically — via accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) or through the ATO's Online Services portal. Australian Taxation Office

🆕 New for Tax Time 2026 — TPAR Pre-Fill

If you're a sole trader or contractor providing TPRS services, payments reported through TPAR will now be pre-filled in your tax return — reducing manual entry and helping you get things right the first time. Australian Taxation Office

The ATO will NEVER send you a link to a login page by email. If in doubt — contact us directly. 🚨
