Today we celebrate the dads, grandads, stepdads, partners, mentors and father figures who have helped shape our lives.
The lessons passed down aren’t always the big ones.
They can be the everyday things - working hard, looking after family, keeping promises, preparing for the future or teaching us the value of a dollar.
Some lessons stay with us for a lifetime.
From everyone at Think Capital Advice, Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads and father figures in our community.
We hope today brings good company, plenty of laughs and perhaps a little time with your feet up.

Helen had always been organised.
Bills were paid on time.
Investments were carefully managed.
Important decisions were well considered.
Everything was under control.
Or so she thought.
When her husband unexpectedly passed away, she found herself sitting at the dining room table surrounded by paperwork.
There were bank accounts she didn't know existed.
Insurance policies she couldn't find.
Passwords locked away in devices she couldn't access.
A Will.
A superannuation account.
Investment documents.
Somewhere.
What should have been a time to grieve became a search for answers.
One folder could have changed everything.
Not because it would have taken away the pain. It would have removed the uncertainty.
Financial planning isn't only about growing wealth.
It's about making life easier for the people who may one day need to step into your shoes.
A simple folder containing important documents, account details, key contacts and your wishes can become one of the greatest gifts you leave behind.
Its true value isn't what's inside it. It's what it saves your family from.
The most valuable legacy isn't measured in dollars. It's measured in the peace of mind you leave behind.
If someone you loved needed to manage your affairs tomorrow, would they know where to begin?

Jacinda Ardern led a nation while millions judged her every decision.
The higher someone rises, the more opinions they attract.
Few people understand that better than former New Zealand Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern.
She led a nation through extraordinary challenges, including a terrorist attack, a volcanic disaster and a global pandemic. Throughout that time, every decision she made was scrutinised, debated and judged.
History will continue to decide how her leadership is remembered.
One question, however, is worth reflecting on.
Would the conversation have been different if she had been of the opposite s*x?
Many women know what it feels like to have their decisions questioned, their leadership underestimated, or their achievements measured against a different standard.
Those experiences often lead to something even more damaging.
Self-doubt.
Comparison.
The quiet belief that someone else is more capable, more successful or somehow more deserving.
Comparison has a way of distracting us from our own purpose.
Every woman brings different strengths.
Different experiences.
Different ambitions.
Different challenges.
No two journeys were ever meant to look the same.
The same is true financially.
Comparing your income, investments or stage of life with someone else's rarely leads to fulfilment. Financial success isn't about keeping up with those around you. It's about creating a life that reflects your own values, priorities and aspirations.
Money is a tool.
It can create choices.
It can provide security.
It can open doors.
Its greatest purpose is helping you build a life that feels meaningful to you, not one that looks successful through someone else's eyes.
The most powerful race you'll ever run is your own.
Jacinda Ardern's story isn't simply about politics. It's about what happens when a woman chooses to lead despite criticism, despite judgement and despite knowing that not everyone will agree with her. Every woman has that same choice in her own life. Not to lead a country, but to lead her own journey. The world doesn't need another version of someone else. It needs the unique contribution that only you can make.

There’s something special about spring in Western Australia.
As the weather starts to warm, we see our landscapes come alive with colour - from our iconic Kangaroo Paw and Everlasting Paper Daisies to beautiful Native Orchids and Waxflowers.
It’s one of our favourite reminders that change can happen gradually, quietly and then, seemingly all at once.
We see something similar in the conversations our team have with people about their financial lives.
Our goals evolve as we do. What felt important five or ten years ago may no longer reflect the life we’re living today or the future we’re working towards.
Spring feels like the perfect time to stop and ask - Is where I’m heading still where I want to go?
Not every change needs to be dramatic. Much like a garden, sometimes it’s the small things we consistently nurture that create the greatest change over time.
Happy first day of spring. We hope you get the chance to enjoy some of the incredible colour WA puts on at this time of year.

Improve Cashflow. Grow Wealth. Protect your Family.
28/08/2026
For many people, building wealth begins with a simple goal.
More choices.
More security.
More freedom.
Yet as wealth grows, so can complexity.
More accounts to manage.
More investments to monitor.
More tax considerations.
More responsibilities.
More decisions.
There comes a point when success isn't measured by how many assets you own, but by whether your wealth is making life easier or more complicated.
The purpose of wealth was never to create another full-time job.
It was to create opportunities, protect the people you care about and give you the freedom to spend time on what is most important.
Perhaps the most valuable question isn't how much wealth you've accumulated.
Perhaps it's whether that wealth is supporting the life you want to live.
Is your wealth creating more freedom… or more complexity?
For professionals, entrepreneurs and families who value a thoughtful approach to their financial future, Think Capital Advice provides more than financial advice - we develop personalised strategies that help you grow and protect your wealth, support your family, and plan for the years ahead.

For more than twenty-five years, David poured everything he had into his business.
The early years were a blur of long days, sleepless nights and taking risks that many people would never have considered.
Birthdays were interrupted by phone calls.
Family holidays revolved around the business.
Weekends became an opportunity to catch up on work.
Every sacrifice felt worthwhile because the business was growing.
Over time, David achieved everything he had set out to do.
The business was profitable.
The mortgage was gone.
His team had grown.
His reputation was well established.
From the outside, it looked like success.
Then one evening, his granddaughter asked a simple question.
"Grandad, when are you going to stop working?"
David smiled.
"I don't know."
Driving home that night, the question stayed with him.
He had spent decades building a business to create freedom for his family.
Somewhere along the way, the business had become the very thing keeping him from enjoying it.
Retirement wasn't the problem.
Money wasn't the problem.
The problem was that he had never planned for the next chapter.
The business depended on him.
There was no succession plan.
No clear exit strategy.
No timeline.
For the first time, David realised that building a successful business and building a life after business were two very different things.
Many business owners reach this point.
They've built an incredible asset, yet stepping away feels impossible.
Success becomes measured by how indispensable they are, rather than how much freedom the business provides.
Perhaps the greatest achievement isn't creating a business that needs you every day.
Perhaps it's creating one that gives you the choice not to be there.
After all, the purpose of building a successful business was never to work forever.
It was to create the freedom to decide what comes next.
If your business no longer depended on you every day, how would you choose to spend your time?
For professionals, entrepreneurs and families who value a thoughtful approach to their financial future, Think Capital Advice provides more than financial advice - we develop personalised strategies that help you grow and protect your wealth, support your family, and plan for the years ahead.

Life rarely stands still.
Careers evolve.
Businesses grow.
Children become independent.
Grandchildren arrive.
Retirement moves from a distant thought to a date on the calendar.
What made sense financially ten or twenty years ago may no longer reflect the life you're living today.
Many successful people regularly review their business performance.
They monitor investments.
They adapt to changing markets.
Yet their overall financial strategy often remains unchanged for years.
A financial strategy shouldn't be something that's created once and forgotten.
It should evolve as life evolves.
The priorities that shaped your decisions in your forties may be very different from those in your sixties.
Perhaps the focus has shifted from building wealth to preserving it.
Perhaps creating a reliable income has become more important than pursuing higher returns.
Perhaps protecting family, planning a business succession or leaving a meaningful legacy has become the priority.
The question isn't whether life has changed.
It almost certainly has.
The real question is whether your financial strategy has changed with it.
A strategy that served you well during one chapter of life may not be the strategy that best supports the next.
After all, financial planning isn't about keeping pace with the markets.
It's about keeping pace with your life.
If someone looked at your financial strategy today, would they recognise the life you're living now, or the one you were living ten years ago?
For professionals, entrepreneurs and families who value a thoughtful approach to their financial future, Think Capital Advice provides more than financial advice - we develop personalised strategies that help you grow and protect your wealth, support your family, and plan for the years ahead.
