That eighty thousand dollars is your wage. It just hasn’t been paid yet.

Most salon owners set their prices the same way. They check what the salon up the road charges, land a little either side, and bump it up a bit each year from there.

The trouble is, nobody ever works out what each service actually costs to deliver. So the salon’s booked out every week and there’s still less in the account than there should be.
