Every Australian taxpayer will receive a tax cut. If your taxable income is $22,575 or more, you will receive a tax cut (no tax payable below $22,575). Below are some examples of the annual tax cuts.

Restaurateur served with jail term: A South Australian man who fraudulently claimed more than $800,000 in GST refunds has been sentenced to 5 years imprisonment.

Our investigation uncovered:
❌ 19 false business activity statements overstating total sales
❌ a forged medical letter falsely claiming that his wife had cancer
❌ inconsistent financial documents, which included records for June 1 to June 31 (even though there’s only 30 days in June).

The ATO-led Serious Financial Crime Taskforce has taken further action this week in Sydney as part of Operation Protego, a major GST fraud. This follows last month’s coordinated strike in 12 locations across the country. Deputy Commissioner and SFCT Chief Will Day said, “Our action this week shows there is no place to hide.
