Australia's 2.8 million lowest-paid workers have been handed a 4.75 per cent increase to their minimum wage from 1 July.

The Fair Work Commission, the country's workplace relations tribunal, handed down its annual wage review decision on Tuesday.

The increase takes the minimum wage for a worker on the modern award system to $1,004.90 per week or $26.44 per hour.

- unused annual leave (including leave loading if it would’ve been paid when you took leave).

- long service leave.
