🚨 Payday Super is coming and it will change how employers manage super payments.

From 1 July 2026, super contributions must be paid each payday, rather than quarterly.

This means employers will need to adjust payroll processes, cash-flow planning and reporting accuracy, as the ATO will have near real-time visibility through STP.

Here’s what you need to know:

• Super must reach the employee’s super fund within 7 business days
• The SG rate will increase to 12%
• Stronger penalties will apply for late or unpaid contributions
• The rules apply to all employers — there is no small business exemption

Now is the time to review your payroll systems, payment timing and compliance readiness.

💡 While the ATO has indicated a “help-first” approach in the first year, penalties will still be enforced.
