What if retirement looked less like slowing down… and more like setting off on an adventure? 💜

For Rob and Karen, that is exactly what happened.

Their original plan was to retire at 65, downsize to the coast and settle into the next chapter.

Instead, they rented out their family home, bought a caravan and hit the road.

Three years later, they are still travelling and loving the freedom it has given them.

We think their story says something important about retirement today.

There is no single version of what retirement should look like.

For some, it is travel. For others, it might be family, a sea change, a new project or simply more freedom to choose how each day looks.

“We’ll do that when we retire.”

It’s a phrase we hear often. The overseas trip. More time with family. Working fewer hours. Finally making space for the things that have been sitting on the wish list for years.

But life doesn’t always wait for the perfect retirement date.

For us, Retire Right isn’t simply about having enough money to stop working. It’s about understanding what’s possible and creating a plan that gives you the confidence to enjoy more of what matters along the way.

For one client, that meant taking the European holiday she’d been dreaming about sooner. For another, it meant gradually reducing work and creating more time for family after a health scare changed her perspective.
