Our Winter Jacket Drive has wrapped up, and it was wonderful to see people from across DPM get behind it. 💙

Working with Off Your Back, we collected jackets and warm clothing to support people doing it tough. A warm coat may seem like a simple item, but for someone facing the cold weather without adequate clothing, it can make a meaningful difference.

A big thank you to our People and Development team for coordinating the drive from start to finish and to everyone who donated a jacket or jumper. By taking the time to look through your wardrobes and contribute something you could spare, you’ve helped provide warmth and comfort to someone who needs it.

On Saturday evening our team gathered at the National Gallery of Victoria for Brainwave Australia's Great Gatsby Gala, a night marking 30 years of their work. 🌟

For us it carried something extra, because it also marked a year since DPM partnered with Brainwave. Over those twelve months our team has rolled up its sleeves alongside them, volunteering across a range of Brainwave activities and getting to know the people and families at the heart of it all.

Brainwave walks alongside families raising children with brain injuries, illnesses and neurological conditions. When a diagnosis turns a family's world upside down, they are there for the therapy, the equipment, the hospital stays, and the long road that follows. Thirty years of showing up for families on the hardest days of their lives is something worth celebrating.

Under the Great Hall's stained-glass ceiling, supporters came together over dinner and the auctions, all of it raising funds to keep that support going. Our CEO Michael Allsopp joined the bidding and won a teddy, a small moment that summed up the spirit of the night.

Thank you for a year that's meant a great deal to us, Brainwave. Here's to standing beside you for many more. ❤️

August kept us busy across several campuses, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Throughout the month, we connected with medical students at the University of Melbourne , Deakin University .deakin and the University of Notre Dame , sharing practical guidance on the Doctor’s Journey, salary packaging, tax and preparing for internship.

We show up at every stage for a reason. Med school teaches you medicine - but it doesn’t necessarily teach you how to maximise your take-home pay, manage your HELP debt or navigate tax when your first full-time pay arrives. That is our job, and we love doing it.

Many of our clients first met us at medical school. Since then, we’ve watched them become interns, registrars and consultants - and we stay in their corner the whole way.

Soup Up days are back at DPM! This winter we're keeping our team warm with delicious soups catered by Flo Coffee Catering Events . So far we’ve had sweet potato veggie, Moroccan pumpkin with crème fraiche, leek and potato, and cauliflower. And we can’t wait to see what flavour is next!

Small things done consistently make a big difference to how people feel at work. This is one of ours, a proper lunch together, a warm meal, and a little extra help fending off the winter bugs. 🍲

Last week our team swapped spreadsheets for safari trucks and spent a morning at Werribee Open Range Zoo, volunteering at Family Day.

Our DPM team Dan Heath, Mandeep Pahwa, Karli Drew and Sharnae Taylor helped families check in, find their way around the zoo, and enjoy a day built around them. Brainwave supports children living with brain injuries and neurological conditions, and the families who care for them every day.

These families often carry more than the diagnosis itself. Isolation, financial strain, and the loss of a normal routine follow closely behind. A day like this gives them a space to reconnect with other families who understand exactly what that's like.

DPM works alongside medical professionals every day and volunteering with Brainwave gives us the chance to support the families on the other side of that care. 🦒
