CountPro was proud to support the Committee for Ballarat Member Event held on 11 March 2026.

It was a fantastic evening, highlighted by an inspiring keynote presentation from NASA astronaut and aerospace engineer Dr Jeanette Epps. Jeanette shared fascinating insights from her remarkable career in space exploration, leaving the audience inspired by her experiences, leadership journey and perspective on pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

Committee for Ballarat’s focus on leadership development, community engagement and corporate citizenship strongly aligns with CountPro’s own values, and we were pleased to be involved in supporting such an important event for our region.

We were also proud to have a CountPro Director act as MC for the evening, helping guide what was a memorable and engaging event.

A big congratulations to Marika Barnes, who today notches up 10 years of service with Gerard Harrington | CountPro. With a sharp (and dry) sense of humour, Marika is a friendly and familiar voice to our Bacchus Marsh clients - who know they can rely on her to get things done! Well done, Marika!

Today marks 3 years since our fantastic Superannuation Manager, Tiarna Waight, joined the team at CountPro. Those who have worked with Tiarna will appreciate her depth of knowledge about all things related to Self Managed Superannuation Funds. Well done and Congratulations, Tiarna!

Today we are celebrating Oditha (known as Odi), who has completed his first year of service at CountPro. Odi is a key member of our Business Services team in the Ballarat office - and is well regarded for his thoughtful and attentive manner. We look forward to many more years of service. It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our colleague and friend, Gerard Harrington.

For more than 40 years, Gerard was a highly respected figure in the accounting profession and the business community of Bacchus Marsh and beyond. Through his own practice and most recently as a valued member of the team at CountPro, Gerard supported countless individuals, businesses and community groups with integrity, professionalism, and genuine care.

Gerard will be remembered not only for his professional excellence, but also for his warmth, kindness, and steady leadership. His legacy is one of dedication, compassion, and service to others.

The CountPro team extends our love and deepest condolences to Gerard’s family, Mandy, Lauren, Katie and Matt.

A wonderful person who will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

On 19 August 2024, CountPro welcomed two new employees to the team - our wonderful Client Service Officer, Kim Barker, and an eager young Auditor, Kirby Hodgetts. Fast forward a year and both Kim and Kirby have become integral members of our team. Well done Kim and Kirby on completing one year of service at CountPro - we look forward to many more!
