we can thank the RBA for banning card surcharges from 1 October.

it seems like a good idea. it kind of is. no hidden cost at the checkout.

but business owners are still paying the fee every time you tap. so the easiest fix is to build it into the price.

your local restaurant, cafe, friendly barista? they’re just trying to serve you the best damn coffee you’ve ever had…

they’re trying to make ends meet, like the rest of us.

we see the numbers every day.
your local business owner is not taking advantage of you.

stick with them. we don’t want to lose our local restaurants.

we love eating, and I don’t want to go back to Starbucks, ever.
