🔒 Important Update for Our Clients – New Identification Requirements from 1 July 2026

From 1 July 2026, new Australian Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws come into effect, and accounting firms like ours are required to carry out additional identity verification and due diligence for certain services.

This means that, for some new and existing clients, we may need to ask for:
• Proof of identity
• Information about company ownership or control
• Details about the purpose of the engagement
• Other information required under the new legislation

We understand that some of these questions may seem unfamiliar, particularly if you've been a client of ours for many years. Please know that these requirements are mandated by law and will apply to all accounting firms across Australia.

Our aim is to make the process as simple and efficient as possible, and we'll only request the information that is required for the services we are providing.

It’s been an incredible journey so far, but definitely not without its challenges. This past year has been one of the toughest yet, and it feels like things are only getting harder at this point!

Some days you feel on top of the world, and other days, you are ready to sell everything and move to a remote town away from everyone. It's a terrifying rollercoaster sometimes.

We've made significant progress, reached more milestones, and wonder how we got here, all the way from our little 'Tax Dungeon' under the stairs! 😆

Despite all this, we’re incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from our family, friends and amazing clients over the past 6 years. We truly appreciate every bit of trust and support you continue to give us. We don't take that for granted.

We’re proud of how far we’ve come, and we’re looking forward to what’s ahead — even if tax season is right around the corner again 😆
