Our office remains closed today (Monday).

Due to the effects of the cyclone we have power outage, no phone or email service.

We will update Tuesday.

Due to the impacts of Cyclone Alfred we have now closed our Cornubia office. Our staff will work from home on Thursday but all systems will be closed down and offline from Thursday night.

We will reopen once safe to do so. We do expect power outage and the office will reopen once power has been restored.
We will provide updates Monday regarding this.

Congratulations to Megan Black!

Megan has celebrated this year with her 10 year anniversary working with Southern Cross Accounting.

We extend our congratulations and gratitude to Megan for all that she does for our staff and most importantly our clients. Her care attention and heart felt concern shines through and we are so thankful for your service.

Due to an upgrade by Energex and loss of electricity for the day, our Cornubia office will be closed for the one day being Wednesday 15 March 2023.

Mental health levy and payroll tax - Queensland Businesses

From 1 January 2023, a mental health levy will apply to fund mental health and associated services. This will not affect small business operators.

The levy will:

- apply to employers and groups of employers who pay more than $10 million in annual Australian taxable wages
- be applied to your Queensland taxable wages
- be calculated as part of your payroll tax returns.
