📣 We're Back!

If you've noticed things have been a little quiet on our social media lately... you're not wrong! 😅

While our page may have been taking an extended holiday, the Sunny Coast Accountants team has been busy looking after our clients, keeping up with legislative changes, and making sure our systems and processes continue to evolve with the needs of our clients and business.

Recently, our team spent the day together at the beautiful Senses on Noosa North Shore for a business training and planning day. It was a chance to step away from our desks, review our processes, discuss the latest tax changes, undertake training on the new AML/CTF requirements, and ensure we're staying up to date in an ever-changing industry.

We also thought it was fitting to share some exciting news... Fiona is back from maternity leave! 🎉

Some of you may remember that our last post was wishing Fiona all the best as she headed off on her maternity adventure back in August 2025. We're thrilled to have her back in the office and assisting clients once again. Fiona is currently working Tuesday to Thursday each week.

As we've headed into another busy financial year, we're making an effort to keep our page a little more active, so you can expect to hear from us more regularly with team updates, tax tips, important changes, and a few snapshots of life at Sunny Coast Accountants along the way.

Our wonderful Fiona is officially heading off on maternity leave as she prepares to welcome a new little addition to her family! 💕👶

While we'll definitely miss her warmth, expertise, and smiling face around the office, we’re so excited for this special chapter in her life.

This year for EOFY - We have wrapped our staff up in slippers and Stanley cups. Nothing like a warm hug and hydration. It’s been Slippys & Sippys this week at SCA!

For this role, we are looking for someone with these skills ⬇️

~ IAS & BAS preparation experience
~ Superannuation lodgement
~ Software conversions
~ Experience with multiple businesses
~ Proficient in XERO
~ Confidence in liaising with clients and ATO
~ Proficient in XERO, MYOB, & Quickbooks
~ Previous accounting firm experience an advantage
~ Can do attitude and willingness to support and train other team members.

We kicked off the new year today with a dedicated Business Planning Day! Our entire team came together to refine our core values and brainstorm ways to enhance our client experience. We’re excited to put these fresh ideas into action - and can’t wait to continue supporting you with all your accounting and financial needs.

We’ll be back to our regular hours starting tomorrow, ready to help you make 2025 your best year yet. Here’s to growth, collaboration, and success for us all!

As the festive season approaches, we want to take a moment to extend our Christmas and New Year wishes to all our wonderful clients, colleagues, family and friend's 💕🙏.

We also wanted to advise you of our upcoming office closure to allow our team to enjoy some well-deserved quality time with their families.

Our office will be closed from midday Friday the 20th of December, and we will reopen on Wednesday, 8th of January.

Please note that during this time, we will not be monitoring our emails. This is a time for us all to disconnect and enjoy the festive season.

We'd like to encourage you to plan accordingly and invite you to reach out to us with any urgent needs or questions before our holiday closure.
