We didn’t let the rain dampen the spirits at our Full Bee Keeping workshop with the very talented Adrian (The Bee Farmer).

A sold out crowd, we had 25 keen participants attend to learn everything there is to know about Honey Bees and keeping them on any scale. Regardless of the weather, it was a resounding success and have had so much great feedback already!

Thank you to Jamie & Joy Gibson for hosting the day, and to all who attended!

A busy week for Condo Landcare, but wouldn’t have it any other way 🐝🐝

More bee keeping events will absolutely be happening in the future

Little Landcarers Day
🐈🥑🎣🐝🥕🐞🪴

We had the absolute pleasure of running Little Landcarers day today, for years 4-6 from St Joseph's Parish School Condobolin and Condobolin Public School. Very generously hosted at Joeys, students broke off into 7 groups and got to spend half an hour at each very important station.

These included:
Station 1- RSPCA, keeping cats safe at home
Station 2- Laura Kiel nutritionist, building a balanced plate
Station 3- Dr Fish, Fishy Business
Station 4- The Bee Farmer, The Life of a Honey Bee
Station 5- Dr Ernie Harbott, Composting & Carrots
Station 6- Lachlan Arts Council, Marvellous Marbling and Creative Critters
Station 7- Macrocarpa Landscapes (very last minute run by Paul & Tash), native plant propagation

I don’t know who had more fun, the kids or the presenters. A very rewarding day, and we are very grateful to all who supported it and gave their time to make it incredible.

Paul West, best known for hosting the TV show River Cottage Australia, was a fantastic guest speaker and ended up running a station for us too. Very exciting to have him in Condo.

This was all made possible thanks to NSW Government through the Phase 3 Innovations and Partnerships Program.

We would love to get this back up and running as an annual event 🐈🥑🎣🐝🥕🐞🪴
