🚨 SCAM ALERT – PLEASE STAY VIGILANT🚨
We have recently become aware of fraudulent emails impersonating Vision Accounting Solutions.
These emails are designed to look genuine, however they are not being sent from our office. The scammers are using email addresses that closely resemble ours, making it easy to miss the subtle differences.
✅
• Always check the sender's email address carefully.
• All genuine emails from Vision Accounting Solutions include our company logo in the email signature.
• If an email looks unusual, asks you to click a link or open an attachment, or you're unsure if it's genuine, contact our office before taking any action.
We want to reassure all of our clients that our email system has not been compromised. This is a social engineering scam designed to trick recipients into believing the email is legitimate.
🔒 Your security is our priority. Thank you for helping us keep our community safe.
📞 If you have any concerns about an email you've received claiming to be from Vision Accounting Solutions, please contact our office immediately on (07) 3800 8855 before clicking any links, opening attachments or replying to the email.

Important reminder ⚠️
The Medicare Levy Surcharge (MLS) may apply if your income exceeds the threshold and you don’t have appropriate private hospital cover.
If you have a spouse or dependent children, everyone in the family must be covered to avoid the surcharge — not just one person.

Company Directors 🚨
Be Aware of Director Penalty Notices (DPN).
If your company has unpaid PAYGW, GST or Super, the ATO can issue a DPN which may make directors personally liable for the debt.
Acting early is key. If your business has an ATO debt, speak to our team about payment plans and restructuring options.

Cancelling or reducing your private health insurance may increase your tax at tax time.
You may need to pay the Medicare levy surcharge (MLS) if your income for surcharge purposes is above the threshold, and you don’t have an appropriate amount of health cover.
The income used to work out if you are liable for MLS isn’t just your taxable income, it also includes:
• certain salary sacrifice amounts
• reportable Fringe Benefits
• net investment losses
• certain super contributions
• your partner’s income for surcharge purposes.
Depending on how much you earn, that could be an extra 1%–1.5% of your taxable income.
