From 1 July 2026, employers will need to pay super at the same time as wages and salaries instead of quarterly.
If you have employees, now is the time to make sure your payroll systems, cash flow planning and processes are ready. Waiting until the last minute could lead to compliance issues and unnecessary stress.

The pyjamas are back, and so is one of our favourite fundraisers of the year.
On 24th July 2026, The Rise Accountants team will be wearing our pyjamas to support National Pyjama Day and help raise funds for .
The Pyjama Foundation helps children in foster care through its Pyjama Angel mentoring program, providing support, encouragement and opportunities to help children thrive.
Every donation helps recruit, train and match a mentor with a child who could benefit from having a positive role model in their life.
Our team is proud to be getting involved once again, and we'd love your support.
We'd love your support as we work to help create brighter futures for children in foster care.

EOFY isn’t about spending more, it’s about making better decisions for your business.
As 30 June gets closer, many business owners start asking what they should buy to reduce tax. But the real value comes from how and when you make those decisions.
Here’s what to keep in mind:
• Only bring forward purchases you were already planning
• Make sure your cash flow can handle it after June
• Check assets are ready for use before 30 June
• Focus on improving how your business runs, not just tax savings
For business owners, EOFY is a decision point, not a deadline to spend. The right purchase can improve efficiency and support growth. The wrong one can create pressure going into the new financial year.
At Rise Accountants, the focus is on helping you make decisions that strengthen your position, not just reduce tax for the sake of it.

Real feedback like this, is why we do what we do.
Helping our clients feel confident and supported in their finances is always the goal, and it’s great to see that reflected in their experience. That’s always the aim, not just to get the numbers right, but to make the whole process feel clear and manageable.
We know that dealing with tax and accounting can feel overwhelming at times, which is why we focus on keeping things straightforward, being responsive when it matters and taking the time to explain things in a way that actually makes sense. It’s about building trust and making sure you feel looked after at every step.
Thank you for your continued trust and support!

EOFY is coming up fast and most tradies leave tax planning until it’s too late.
Unpaid invoices, receipts, tool purchases, even super… it all gets pushed to June.
We often see that these areas can make the biggest difference to your tax and cash flow.
Here’s what to focus on now:
• Chase up unpaid invoices to get cash back into the business
• Sort your expenses and receipts before they pile up
• Top up super if you want to reduce your tax bill
• Purchase tools, utes or equipment if they’re needed
• Look at prepaying expenses like insurance if it suits your cash flow
Running a trade business? These last few weeks can directly impact how much tax you pay.
Working for yourself? These are simple ways to improve your position before 30 June.
At Rise Accountants, we work with tradies to turn these final weeks into simple, effective decisions rather than a last minute rush.

Most tradies have heard it before… “If it’s tax deductible, it’s basically free.”
While this would be great, it's not true. That doesn’t mean deductions aren’t useful, it just means they don’t cover the full cost of what you spend.
Here’s an example:
Spend $10,000 → save $2,500 in tax → you’re still $7,500 out of pocket.
Before you buy, ask yourself:
• Will this improve revenue?
• Can my cash flow support this purchase?
• If it wasn’t EOFY, would I still buy it?
Smart businesses don’t spend just to reduce tax. They plan, think ahead and make decisions that support long term results.

At Rise Accountants, tax planning isn’t left until June, we help tradies plan ahead and make better decisions throughout the year.
