Four years on the shortlist. Still can’t quite believe it 🫶🏻
I’ve been named on the FS Power50 shortlist again, Financial Standard’s list of the 50 most influential financial advisers in Australia.
I don’t do this work for lists. I do it because helping someone go from anxious to genuinely confident about their future is one of the best feelings there is by far ❤️.
But this stage is decided by public vote, and that’s where I’d quietly ask for your help. Anyone can vote, it takes 30 seconds, and no account’s needed.
If our work’s meant something to you, there’s a link in my bio (and at financialstandard.com.au/fspower50).
Voting closes 3 September.
Thank you, yours truly. 🤍

Hannah did it. 👏
After an approved degree, a very challenging exam and a full year of supervised practice, Hannah Elliott is now a fully qualified financial adviser, and the second person we’ve guided from provisional through to fully qualified in two years.
We couldn’t be prouder. Hannah, to say you’ve got a bright future ahead is an understatement.
Congratulations!!!

The calm before the kickoff. 🏉
In a few hours this room will be full (over 650 individuals) and I’ve got the honour of MCing the FAAA Brisbane Metro State of Origin Lunch 2026.
Financial advice and footy might seem worlds apart, but both come down to the same thing: showing up for your team when it counts.
Blues or Maroons? Let me know who you’re backing 👇
But GO MAROONS!! QLD

This landed in our inbox yesterday and honestly, it stopped us for a minute.
Adriana came to us at a really hard point in her life.
Nervous about the future, unsure if there was even a way back financially. And if we’re honest, those first conversations are never really about money.
They’re about someone trusting you with the stuff that keeps them up at night.
So we did what we always try to do. No templates, no one-size-fits-all plan. Just sitting with her situation properly, understanding what she actually needed, and building advice around her life, not the other way around.
Months later she tells us she has a plan, she knows her options, and she feels like a different person. That’s the whole job. That’s why Jenna and I do this.
Thank you, Adriana.
Your note made all the hard work worth it. 🖤

The past two days have been a blur of messages, calls, and voice notes from people checking in after the earthquakes in Venezuela. I’ve read every one, and it has meant more than I can say.
Most importantly, my immediate family, close friends, and their families have all been accounted for. For that, I am incredibly grateful, and deeply aware that not everyone can say the same today.
One of the hardest hit areas in Caracas is where I grew up and went to school. Many of the streets, buildings, and places that shaped my childhood have been forever changed. Seeing those images has been heartbreaking.
Thank you for thinking of us. Thank you for reaching out. And above all, thank you for reminding me that even across continents, we never face life’s hardest moments alone.
My thoughts are with everyone affected, the families who have lost loved ones, those still waiting for news, and the first responders working tirelessly through the devastation.
Venezuela 🇻🇪❤️

Own an investment property with a partner? This one’s worth two minutes. 🏡
Properties owned before the May budget keep the old negative gearing and CGT discount rules.
But for jointly owned properties, that protection isn’t guaranteed for life, it can fall away when a co-owner passes away, or a couple separates.
A quick breakdown of what’s grandfathered, what isn’t, and the dates that matter. It’s still before the Senate, so the detail can change.
Know someone who owns a property with a partner?
Send this their way. And if it’s your situation, our DMs are open.

Dancing CEOs 2026!!
No dancing for me this year—just supporting an event that means a lot to me after my participation in 2023.
Massive respect to everyone who stepped onto the dance floor tonight. It takes courage, commitment and a good sense of humour. 👏
Proud to be part of such an incredible community.

Are you actually wealthier than you were five years ago?
If you’re the typical Australian household, probably not.
Since 2019, average household wealth is up 24% in real terms.
The median household — the middle, the typical experience — hasn’t moved at all.
Same country. Same five years. Two completely different stories.
The gap is the difference between average and median. Average gets pulled up when wealth concentrates at the top. Median is the experience most people actually live.
For retirement planning, this matters. If your strategy assumes “the market keeps lifting all boats,” the last five years tell a different story.
Plans beat luck.
If you’re not sure your plan is built for the next decade — not just the last one — let’s have a 15-minute chat. Link in bio.
