We’ve recently become aware of letters being sent to businesses that look very similar to an official ASIC annual review notice.

These letters are from a private company offering a service that many of our clients already have covered through q4 financial — and at a significantly lower cost.

If you receive a letter like this, don’t pay or take any action before checking with us/your accountant. We’re happy to confirm whether it’s something you need to deal with and, if it is, we can take care of it for you.

As always, if something looks official but you’re not sure — ask us first.

One of the things we enjoy most about our work is getting to know the people behind the businesses we advise.

Every client has a different story, different ambitions and different reasons for doing what they do. And while we're proud of the role we play in helping our clients make smart financial decisions and build sustainable businesses, it feels especially rewarding when their work is making a genuine difference in the lives of others.

Marcus Coleman is a great example.

From corporate leadership to not-for-profit human services, and now business ownership, Marcus has built a career around people, purpose and community impact.

Today, he leads two Brisbane-based allied health clinics (Child's Play Qld - Psychological support and assessment services and Better Life Centre) while continuing to contribute to the not-for-profit sector through board and leadership roles with Bestlife and swara.

It’s been a privilege for the q4 financial team to support Marcus as he’s navigated the transition into business ownership and the opportunities and challenges that come with it.

His story is a great reminder that business success isn't always just about the numbers. Sometimes, it’s about the people those numbers ultimately help.
