🔊 Reminder…this is when your June quarterly BAS is due.

Before lodging:
✅ check you're using the correct fuel tax credit rates for the period you're claiming
✅ review your BAS for any errors
✅ use our fuel tax credit calculator to work out your claim.

Reduced fuel tax credit rates apply for fuel acquired between 1 April and 30 June. Using the wrong rate could mean overclaiming and having to make corrections later.

With 30 June fast approaching, now’s the time to start getting your ducks in a row to ensure a smooth end to the financial year!

If you’re planning to claim a deduction for your June 2026 quarter superannuation obligations and haven’t processed payment yet — THIS IS YOUR REMINDER! 🚨Payments will need to clear by 30 June 2026 to be deductible this financial year.

PAYG payment summaries will also need to be finalised and lodged by 14 July 2026, so if your last payroll for the year is already wrapped up, getting ahead now can save the last-minute scramble later.

And for those lodging quarterly BASs without electronic lodgement or tax agent assistance, June quarter BAS lodgements will be due on 28 July 2026.

There’s still a little time, but it’s a good opportunity to start factoring EOFY obligations into your cash flow planning now.

Today is the International Day Against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination! 🌈

Why May 17? It was on this day in 1990 that homosexuality was removed from the WHO Classification of Diseases - a historic step towards inclusion. Three decades later, despite how far we’ve come, the LGBTQIA+ community unfortunately still faces discrimination.

Days like today offer all of us the opportunity to visibly stand against discrimination. LGBTQIA+ community and allies alike, today we take action to make the world more inclusive.

This year, we couldn’t be prouder of the massive wave of allyship, pride, and visibility we’ve seen across workplaces, schools, and communities.

To every single person who’s gone rainbow: you have sent SUCH a vital message of hope, support, and safety to the LGBTQIA+ community.

Whether you wore a rainbow ribbon, started a conversation, hosted a fundraiser, shared IDAHOBIT online, or hung up a poster, thank you. Each action contributes to building a more inclusive future.

May is here, and with the end of financial year just around the corner, now is a great time to ensure everything’s in order before June 30th arrives.

Here are a few key areas to consider as we head into EOFY:
📊 Tax planning – Give our team a call to review your income, deductions and any opportunities before the year closes out.
💸 Super contributions – Review your super contributions now, both employer and personal. Keep in mind that banks cannot always guarantee payments will be received by funds if submitted after mid-June, so early action is key!
📄 Record keeping – Now is a great time to get your receipts, invoices and financial records organised to make the tax return process as smooth as possible.
