Argentina just announced a Citizenship by Investment Program 🇦🇷

On 2 October 2026, Argentina officially unveiled its Citizenship by Investment Program in Paris. The official launch is set for Q4 2026, and it gives investors a path to second citizenship in a G20 country and one of the largest economies in South America.

Here is what we know so far about Argentina citizenship by investment:
💼 Two investment routes. A non-refundable contribution starting from USD 350,000, or USD 800,000 in government bonds
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family can be included. A spouse and children up to 24 can be added to an application with additional contributions
⏱️ Around six months. That is the expected processing time
✈️ One visit to Argentina. You travel once for biometric enrolment, and there is no requirement to live in the country before applying
🌍 169 destinations. The Argentine passport gives visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 169 destinations.
🤝 A gateway to the region. Argentina is a member of MERCOSUR, which matters if you have plans across South America
