On 10 August 2020 the Cabinet of Ministers repealed and replaced Cabinet Resolution No. 31 on Economic Substance Regulations (ESR) by way of Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 57 of 2020.
On 19 August 2020 the Ministry of finance issued Ministerial Decision No. 100 of 2020 on the Directives for Implementation of provisions of ESR which repeals and supersedes Ministerial Decision No. 215 of 2019.

On the introduction of VAT in the year 2017 many corporates opted for Tax Group Registration without complying with the mandatory conditions for forming a tax group.
