PART-TIME REMOTE OPPORTUNITY – EAST AFRICA 🌍

Economic Journalist / Business Editor / Government Relations Advisor

Emara Invoice System – UAE is expanding across Africa and is looking for an experienced East African Economic Journalist, Business Editor, or Government Relations professional with strong government and corporate connections to work with us on a part-time, remote basis.

This is not a traditional journalism position.

We are looking for a highly connected professional who can use their media, government, and business network to help Emara:

• Connect with government ministries, tax authorities, regulators and economic institutions
• Reach senior government officials and decision-makers
• Connect with CEOs and major corporations
• Identify reputable local agents, partners and representatives
• Arrange high-level government and business meetings
• Identify strategic opportunities across East Africa
• Monitor e-Invoicing, FinTech, ERP and digital transformation developments
• Identify potential technology, ERP, accounting and implementation partners

Ideal Candidate

* Current or former Economic Journalist / Business Editor / Business Correspondent
* Alternatively, a senior professional with strong government and corporate relations
* 5+ years of professional experience
* Strong relationships with government officials and major businesses
* Excellent knowledge of the East African business and economic environment
* Strong communication, networking and relationship-building skills
* Excellent English
* Knowledge of Swahili is an advantage
* French is an advantage
* Experience in technology, FinTech, ERP, e-Invoicing or digital transformation is a plus
